National Petroleum Committee of Serbia Young professionals visited the State Data Center in Kragujevac

Kragujevac, July 2023 - Young and successful managers, representatives of the members of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia (NNKS), led by Filip Matović, leading engineer for oil and gas production technology at the NIS j.s.c, who is holdind the position of the president of the Young Professionals of the NNKS, had the opportunity to visit the State Data Center in Kragujevac, which was successfully established by the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment.


According to technical and security standards, this unique Center is one of the most modern in the region and houses the key information and communication infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia.


Representatives of members of young professionals of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia from NIS, Informatics, Transnafta and Technical Faculty in Zrenjanin were welcomed by Mr. Boban Mihailović, Assistant Minister for Information and Telecommunications and Danilo Savić, Director of Data Cloud Technology.


Employees of the Data Center showed the visitors the whole space and equipment, as well as IT modules and power systems, introduced them to the employees, and explained the work performed by this Center. This unique facility in this area was opened in December 2020, it has an area of ​​14 thousand square meters, has a planned installed power of 14MW and a capacity of 1080 REK cabinets.


The Center meets the Tier 3+ standard, and the Center's services are provided in accordance with the ISO 27001 security standard, as well as ISO 9001 quality standards and ISO 20000 quality of service provision. In addition to housing the equipment of state authorities, the State Data Center also provides Government cloud services.


The hosts presented the guests with plans for future development, within which the expansion of existing capacities for 2 more modules is planned, as well as the construction of an entire innovation district that will include office spaces, a science and technology park, a national center for cyber security and a dedicated area for startup companies.


The representatives thanked the hosts for the excellent visit and wished them luck in realizing all the planned plans.
