It is a prestigious energy forum attended by representatives of states and governments of energy leaders in the field of oil and gas, as well as leading companies operating in this field, renowned experts who discussed the challenges and opportunities of managing the world's oil and gas resources in a challenging global environment and circumstances of the energy transition.
The World Petroleum Congress is held every three years in the member countries of the World Petroleum Council, and this year's 24th in a row under the theme "Energy Transition: Road to Zero" was organized through strategic and technical sessions, panels, as well as a fair event where more than 200 international exhibitors participated.
This year's Congress attracted more than 5,000 delegates from over 100 countries, 50 ministerial delegations, 700 expert speakers and 800 media representatives from around the world. About 15,000 visitors also visited the fair exhibition.
With member companies from 60 countries around the world, the World Petroleum Congress gathers as much as 95 percent of the world's production and consumption of oil and gas.
The Congress was also attended this time by representatives of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia, member of World Petroleum Council.
