THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE NATIONAL PETROLEUM COMMITTEE OF SERBIA - WORLD PETROLEUM COUNCIL

Members of the Assembly of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia, elected the new leadership of the Assembly.

The Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic, was elected as the President of the NNKC - WPC Assembly.

At the session, the new vice president of NNKS - WPC, Prof. dr Zoran Gligoric, from the University of Belgrade, Professor at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, as well as the new representative of the University of Novi Sad in the Executive Board, Prof. dr Eleonora Desnica, Professor at the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" in Zrenjanin.

The National Petroleum Committee of Serbia is the national body of the World Petroleum Council, whose seat is in London - World Petroleum Council https://www.world-petroleum.org/ . It was founded on March 3, 2011, and the founders of the Committee are: The University of Belgrade, the University of Novi Sad, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, NIS j.s.c, Transnafta j.s.c, Srbijagas PE, Lukoil Srbija j.s.c, the Association of Oil Companies of Serbia and the Serbian Oil and Gas Association. In 2018, the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia gained two new members, Petrohemija ltd and Informatika j.s.c., and in 2021 the Association for Energy Law of Serbia, while in 2023. the company Petrol Belgrade, as well as the Association of Geophysicists and Geologists of Serbia joined.

Through the organization of round tables, expert workshops and consultations, as well as encouraging cooperation with members of the World Petroleum Council from the Balkans and the region of Southeast Europe, NNKS has become a forum where the problems of this sector are discussed and proposals and initiatives for solutions are defined.
