Petar Škundrić at the helm of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia

BELGRADE, September 22, 2011 – The Assembly of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia (NPCS), in the (correspondence) meeting held on September 22, unanimously appointed Professor Petar Škundrić as President of this national body of the World Petroleum Council.
Dr Škundrić was Minister of Mining and Energy in the incumbent Government of the Republic of Serbia, and after it was restructured, he was appointed as energy advisor to Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković.

He received his BA, MA and PhD at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of the University of Belgrade. He is Full Professor at the said Faculty and a Honorary Professor of the St. Petersburg University of Technology, the oldest institute and university in Russia.

He has published over 200 academic papers, studies, research reports, and projects. He is a member of a number of professional associations and is on the editorial boards of many academic and professional journals.
