Participants of the World Petroleum Congress in Doha

DOHA, November 30, 2011 – From December 4 next week, Qatar will host the 20th World Petroleum Congress, the most prestigious world gathering in petroleum industry.
Over 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries, including 35 ministers from the countries which lead in the production and consumption of oil, will be discussing till December 8 possible ways to secure energy solutions for all, promoting cooperation, innovation, and investment – in line with the Congress title.The first World Petroleum Congress was held in 1933 in London, with 24 countries participating.

At the gathering in Doha, Serbia will be full member for the first time, as a member of the World Petroleum Council, through the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia, established this year.

Dr Petar Škundrić, President of the National Petroleum Committee and energy advisor to the PM, will be heading the delegation consisting of the most respectable representatives of Serbian petroleum industry.
