Novi Sad, 15th October 2016 - A recently held 30th Festival of innovations, knowledge and creativity, "Tesla Fest" , awarded a Gold Charter to the National Oil Committee of Serbia – a chapter of World Oil Council at a solemn ceremony staged by the organiser World Intellectual Property Organisation – WIPO to present International jury’s awards and certificates.
The jubilee "Tesla Fest" yet again assembled inventors from all over the world. Over the course of four days at a Novi Sad Expo innovations were showcased by scientists and innovators from our country, the region, as well as from Russia, China, Moldavia and Iran.
"Tesla Fest" was opened by the chairman of the City Assembly of Novi Sad, Zdravko Jelušić.
"The innovations showcased here keep abreast of the latest global developments, renewable energy, environment protection, human health and nutrition", stated at the opening ceremony Anđelko Glavašević, President of Tesla Fest.
This year’s thirtieth jubilee Tesla Fest gathered more than 150 exhibitors with 400 innovations, inventions and new technologies.
This year’s Tesla Fest along with local participants was attended by innovators from Russia, China, Iran, Sweden, Czech Republic and countries of the region. This year again there was a competition of young scientists and innovators, who were presented awards by the international jury.
This year’s 30th Tesla Fest is dominated by a great jubilee, specifically this year marks 160 years since the birth of Nikola Tesla, 80 years since Tesla was granted the status of an honorary citizen of Novi Sad and 60 years since the establishment of Serbia’s Association of Inventors.
Other than that, every October marks anniversary since Tesla’s first application for a patent for a ground-breaking invention that benefitted the humanity, specifically rotating magnetic field and the polyphase system of alternating electricity- induction motor.
