"Energy Arena 2013" Regional Conference Held

BELGRADE, October 23, 2013. – The Regional Conference – 6th Energy Arena, held in Belgrade in October 23 in collaboration with NIS and the Serbian National Petroleum Committee, aimed to contrinute to the discussion on the energy policy of the EU as part of the partnership within the Energy Community. The conference presented an opportunity to have talks about the strategies for setting goals for maintaining energy security, increasing energy efficiency, and reducing the risk of climate change impact. The event was organized under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, on the occasion of Serbia's chairmanship of the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Ivica Dačić, Serbian Prime Minister, Zorana Mihajlović, President of the Energy Community Ministerial Council and Serbian Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, Fabrizo Barbaso, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission Energy Directorate, Janez Kopač, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Kirill Kravchenko, Cheif Executive Office of NIS, Daniela Bobeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Valeriu Lazar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Moldova, Damian Gjiknuri, Minister of Economy, Trade, and Energy of Albania, Vladimir Kavarić, Minister of Economy of Montenegro, Valon Saracini, Minister of Economy of FYR Macedonia, and Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
