NNKS Secretary General participated in the WPC 2018 Council Meeting

Petroleum Committee of Kazakhstan hosted WPC Annual Council Meeting on 3rd October 2018. National Petroleum Committee of Serbia (NNKS) was represented by Secretary General, Professor Goran Radosavljevic. Council approved 2017 budget auditor report and revisions to the WPC Articles of Association. Young Professionals Committee of WPC got more important role in latest Articles of Association revision including that Chair of YPC is now a member of WPC Executive Committee.

Participants from 36 member countries discussed about progress in organization of WPC Houston 2020 Congress, 6th Young Leaders Conference (St. Petersburg, 23-26 June 2019), and reviewed latest status of negotiation with potential new member countries. Finally, WPC family become bigger for one more country, Sudan, joined in 2018, which was now approved by Council.

Day before Council meeting in Astana, 23rd WPC Congress Program Committee hold 3rd meeting and discussed about congress round tables topics. It already decided that Congress will have five blocks (Innovation in upstream, Innovation in downstream and petrochemicals, Innovation in natural gas, Future energy landscape, Managing energy solutions). It is also decided in the previous CPC meeting that Congress will have 20 forums (each block four topics). CPC members proposed 15 round table topics to Executive Committee for approval (three in each block). Secretary General of Serbian National Committee is a member of Program Committee and has honor to be a head of the group in charge to propose topics for third Congress block (Innovations in natural gas).

NNKS Secretary General Goran Radosavljević also participated on the Investment Conference organized by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and KazEnergy, largest petroleum association in Kazakhstan. He also participated in conference organized by OECD and UNECE discussing about gender issues in Central Asia.
