Assembly of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia

BELGRADE, 27 February 2014 – Assembly of the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia (NPCS) adopted on Thursday, 26 February, the proposed Report on NPCS activities for 2013, as well as accompanying financial reports, previously adopted at the session of the NPCS Executive Board.
Prof. Petar Skundric, PhD, Chairman of the NPCS, stated at the session that in the previous year the Committee   continue extremely fertile activities both in the local and in the international plan, participating in the organization of international events, marked by „6th Energy Arena“ organized by the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS, Plc.) and Infoarena Group.
Through its working teams for the analysis of regulations, as well as for the analysis of the market, the Committee continued to advocate interests of its members and this economic sector as a whole in the best possible way, along with the regular continuation of activities in the fields of publishing, preparation of quarterly thematic Bulletins and weekly news reviews.
Representatives of the Oil Industry of Serbia in the NPCS Assembly, Goran Radosavljevic and Stanka  Leskovac presented to the participants the organization of the  project „BIOGOS – Implementation of the Directive 2009/28/ЕC in the fields of bio-fuel and traffic in the Republic of Serbia – transfer of good practice“, as well as the results of the first workshop within this project, the results of which  shall serve as the grounds for elaboration of the legislation in the field of bio-fuel, as well as for closer approach of the consumers in Serbia to bio-fuel market.
BIOGOS project was approved at the tender on „Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) “Central-European Initiative (CEI), and is carried out in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding of the Zagreb University.
